Reflection on Final Draft Argumentative Essay

Growth

         Writing about embryonic stem cells was very informative.  I have always wanted to look into what it is, how it's conducted, and this assignment allowed me to do so.  When writing this assignment I took into account that everyone has their own set of opinions and it was very important to be as subjective as possible.  My audience should feel informed on the controversy while also acknowledging the importance of my stance.  I also tried to use pathos a little more, I often find the my writing lacks that component of an emotional connection.

         I was actually surprised when conducting my research and finding that many doctors themselves were against the research.  These doctors demanded for more regulations or even banning the entire research it is self regardless of its potential benefits.  I also found that many doctors were religious, I have always thought that doctors were atheists believing in the power of medicine rather than a higher power.  Which now that I think about it was very wrong of me to judge a professional on things I do not know.
