Dear Ms. Matyakuboya:
Subject:  The Path to the Future I have Envisioned

New York City is one of the greatest cities in the world, known for its broad diversity, endless opportunities, and unwavered aspirations.  Growing up in New York City has allowed me to experience all these attributes first hand which has enabled me to become the person I am today.  The diversity of the city has allowed me to understand other individuals and accept everyone regardless of their ethnicity, race, or gender.  The city offers anyone and everyone the same opportunities as long as the individual works towards them; which is why I have the honor of attending the City College of New York because the opportunity presented itself based on my merits.  Lastly, because on all of New York’s influences I aspire to be a physician.
At the eager age of fourteen I was able to travel the world, travel back in time, I was able to fall in love, and out of love; through the many books I read late at night and under the covers.  Reading when I was a young girl was an escape from my real uneventful life.  Reading allowed me to become whoever I wanted when I wanted, which is why I was a ferocious young reader.  Reading at such an extent allowed me to grow into an avid and involved reader.  These acquired skills have allowed me to interpret information in an enjoyable way.  Being able to accurately interpret information is extremely important, because the material is not truly learned until it is incorporated into one’s life, and to do so it must be fully understood in one’s own way.
New York has made me appreciate people; in such a way, that I want to use all the knowledge I have acquired to be of service to society.  This fact inspired me to want to become a physician.  In order to become a physician I understand the commitment I must make to myself, my patients, and my future.  The only way to the future I have envisioned for myself is through a substantial and valuable education; which will create a foundation of knowledge which I will be able to access to be of service to my future patients.
Ms. Nargiza Matyakuboya, thank you so much for your time and efforts.  I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Kind regards,
Yanna Sanchez
